Class Descriptions and Schedule

*vinyasa – one of the most popular forms of yoga today, vinyasa is a series of poses connected by the breath. No two classes are ever alike. In bringing consciousness to each movement we create a meditative mind.

*intermediate vinyasa – a vinyasa class with slightly more intensity and more advanced peak poses. “Intermediate” is more about staying mindful during the challenge than any perceived physical accomplishment.

*yin – a slower paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time. Yin aims to cultivate inner awareness while promoting physical flexibility and ease of movement.

*yin/yang – an ecclectic mix of the more passive meditative yin practices and the mindful movements of vinyasa.

*beginners – a series of classes for those new to the practice touching on various aspects and styles of yoga and meditation.

*restorative – a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. Restorative yoga calms the mind and nervous system.

*meditation and breathwork – meditation includes not only sitting silently, but powerful techniques centered around breath and visualization. This class is a wide variety of practices to induce spiritual experience and life transformation.

*open sit – a minimally directed class for those wishing to experience longer silent seated practice in a group. Come experience the diverse benefits of meditation with supportive practitioners of varying experience.
